Descubre la Palabra Secreta – Los Planetas | Spanish Solar System Vocabulary Activity Spark curiosity and teamwork in your Spanish classroom with this creative and interactive vocabulary activity. Inspired by a Pinterest idea, this resource is a fantastic way to introduce your new topic — the planets of the solar system — in a fun and collaborative way. Rather than simply telling students the theme, let them discover it themselves through a guessing game that builds vocabulary, dictionary skills, and critical thinking. How It Works: Tell students that you’re starting a new topic — but they’ll have to figure it out first. Divide students into groups and give each group one activity card. Using bilingual dictionaries, each group must identify the objects or concepts on their card and write down the initials to reveal a hidden word. Once they’ve guessed their word, they say it aloud. The teacher writes all eight hidden words on the board. As a class, students then figure out the secret word that connects them all — Los Planetas! ✔ Learning Objectives: To introduce and reinforce vocabulary related to the planets in Spanish Vocabulary Covered (Hidden Words): Mercurio Venus La Tierra Marte JĂșpiter Saturno Urano Neptuno What’s Included: Printable PDF containing:  ‱ Cover page  ‱ 8 Activity cards (one per planet)  ‱ Reveal card: Los Planetas Perfect for: Introducing a new unit Engaging group work Building excitement and curiosity Revision and dictionary practice Note: An English version of this resource will be available soon!
